A wonderful experience in Riga! We took a 3-hour city tour and it was simply fantastic. Our guide, Nelli, is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and deeply in love with her city. Speaking perfect Italian, she engaged and captivated us with clear, interesting, and detailed explanations, intertwining ancient and modern history in a truly exciting way. She also gave us tons of helpful tips on how to get around and what to see in the following days. The tour also ended with a truly sweet final thought, which made us smile and feel welcomed. We did this tour as a shore excursion from our cruise ship in Riga. Kristaps was our guide. When our ship was forced to dock at a commercial port instead of the normal passenger terminal, I thought we would not be able to have the tour. With just a quick communication with Kristaps, he was able to adjust and meet us on time at the new port. Kristaps helped us navigate the day perfectly. We spent just the right amount of time at each location--Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace, and Bauska Castle. When we returned to Riga, a bike race resulted in many closed roads. Kristaps navigated around the closures and got us back to the ship in plenty of time. It was a wonderful day.
