What a wonderful variety of the best of the Hobart area! From the Mt. Field National Park forest to the Bonorong Sanctuary and finally the summit of Mt. Wellington we were treated to experiences we could not have accessed on our own without a great deal of driving and effort. Thankfully we had an expert driver who kept us moving but gave us plenty of time to immerse in each location.

Port Arthur was such a serene and beautiful place, despite it’s history. The place is so interesting and the history is so rich. I did not get to see everything this trip, so will have to come back and spend at least half a day exploring. Next time I will also sign up for the tour of the Isle of the Dead.
