This was one of the best excursions we have ever taken, and it's well worth the price. Our guide, Jerome, was terrific. The morning was spent at Veuve Clicquot in Reims, and that was a great experience learning the history of Veuve Clicqout and the contributions Madame Clicquot made to the science of modern champagne production. We also sampled four different Veuve products, and they were healthy pours. The rest of the afternoon was spent touring some other vineyards in the Champagne region, an excellent lunch (with three more varies of champagne), a stop at Dom Perignon's grave, and a final stop and tasting at a small champagne producer (if you consider 25,000 bottles a year small). The champagne they produce is tres bon. It was a long day, as we didn't return to Rens until after six, but every minute was fun.

Guides met us and were very welcoming at the station tourist centre despite a few guests being “missing” the whole team were calm and polite. Suzanne, was excellent, really good English and great knowledge.
Visited two small producers and explained the champagne history and production process. The countryside around Reims is stunning.
Champagne was lovey and great to understand the different flavours and how they are created

What a brilliant day we had. Suzanne was the perfect host. Great English, indepth knowledge and close relationships with the Champagne Houses we visited.
We had a combination of Mumm in Reims but also 2 fabulous independent Champagne makers plus various other sites in and around Epernay.

Epernay and Reims, FR. We stayed in Reims in the walking zone and enjoyed our stay. There are plenty of restaurants, store and beautiful fountains. There are plenty of Champagne houses, but most of them need transportation to get to them. Epernay in the other hand has the Avenue of Champagne. Like it says you can walk on one side af the street and back on the other side. Don't forget to take a Champagne a winemaking tour with a cellar tour. There's a small winemaking museum in Epernay worth taking a walk through it. Before you leave Reims visit the Cathedral.
