Great way to see and learn about Verona. we learned a lot about the history and architecture of the city and saw things that you would miss without the tour. As well it really helped me to orientated myself around the city for the rest of the stay. AND we LOVED the Zabione!

This was an unexpectedly excellent occasion. The two singers, one a renor, the other a mezzo-soprano, were both amazingly superior to any I have heard except in an opera house itself. (In fact, I found out that the mezzo, Serena Romanelli, was rushing off to a rehearsal of "Nabucco" at the Arena di Verona immediately after her performance.) The tenor, Enrico Pertile, was strongly voiced and very sonorous in his interpretations of Pagliacci in "Vesti la gubbia", which brought the house down. The selection of arias from different operas suited the occasion, as well as the voices and, more than once, I was reduced to tears (the sign to me that the singing was of a supremely high standard). The arias chosen included a number of favourites, but also some lesser-heard works, which I found very interesting, and some very moving. I never wanted it to end!!!! Even if you are more a pop song person, do go along for a great night of singing, by great singing-actors, with superb voices.
