Reviews: Whale and Dolphin Watching in Pico Island - Half Day

We had a fantastic trip with this professional organization and nice people. We were lucky enough to spot a baby sperm whale and his mother breach 10 minutes into the trip. After that, we followed a bunch of sei whales for a while, we spotted a pilot whale, risso’s dolphins, and we saw groups of striped dolphins and spotted dolphins that were swimming around the boat - so much fun. The zodiac was fast and fun! Speeding over the water to reported whale sightings (there are spotters on land apparently) was adventurous and bumpy and a great laugh. We loved every minute of this trip★

We really loved this tour! Filipe was very knowledgeable on all things Pico Island and its wine culture, we learned so much about Pico Island and he was able to answer any questions we had! He took us to more places to see than just wineries which was great. We also enjoyed a full Portuguese buffet lunch, and loved all the Pico wines we tried in the day! The liquor/brandy tasting was also a very nice addition to the tour. Would definitely highly recommend this tour!★

Our guide was Gabriel. He was fantastic. He did a great job of explaining everything from Island history to the food and drink of the island. I really recommend him. I would hire him as a guide again.★

We had such a great time on our tour! Phillip our guide was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the island and the vineyards. He added some fun facts about the plants in the area and how they also affect the vineyards. We had a small group of 6 and it was fun to meet new people. We really enjoyed meeting the creators of the islands best wines and liquors/brandy. You can really feel the passion they bring to the art of producing fine spirits! Our stop for lunch included more than expected and was delicious!
This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Azores and Pico island. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants some great company, local knowledge and delicious drinks and food!★

Kunming-Lijiang-Shangri-La-Yulong Snow Mountain This tour was very smooth and pleasant. The only regret is that the season of Shangri-La Pudacuo National Park is wrong, the grass and flowers are not in full bloom, and the scenery is very different. We went to the big cableway in Yulong Snow Mountain, and I also boarded the platform of 4680 meters. Traveling Chinese food is also very good, especially when Lijiang is very rich. On the last day, at noon in Kunming, 10 of us went to Yixin Garden to eat a table at our own expense. At night, the plane went back to Shanghai smoothly and ended the journey.
