Reviews: From Granada: Alpujarra Mountain Villages Tour

A Journey Through the Heart of the Alpujarra We embarked on a picturesque drive from Granada to Órgiva, the vibrant capital of the Western Alpujarra. The route then wound eastward to Lanjarón, famous for its mineral waters. Our morning was dedicated to exploring the iconic villages of Pampaneira, Bubión, and Capileira, which offered breathtaking panoramas and showcased typical local architecture and products. In the afternoon, we ascended to Trevélez (almost 1475m), Europe's highest village, renowned for its cured ham. The winding roads, with over 300 curves (round trip), provided dizzying views over endless olive groves. The day surprised us with a remarkably mild temperature, even at altitude, and we were treated to the spectacular sight of the eternal snows of the Sierra Nevada. To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicious typical Alpujarran dinner, making for an unforgettable experience.

Maria and Jose were incredible guides for my wife and I! We started at the Mercado de Atarazanas and hit a few spots after that. We tried lots of typical comida malagueña, drank local wines and beers, and chat around the table. Maria even sent us some recipes of these dishes because we said we liked cooking. Overall 10/10!
