The main venue for the 5th Hangzhou Lotus Festival was held at Guo Zhuang. We bought our tickets on Ctrip after arriving at the entrance, which was very convenient. The Suzhou garden design was excellent, and the lotus flowers were beautiful!

It's very practical, but it's a bit of a loss if the railway is operating in winter. Hokkaido has beautiful scenery, but train tickets are too expensive. Using this is more cost-effective if you're visiting multiple places. However, if there's a blizzard and the railway stops, there are no refunds.

The trip was nice although the call time at the end was much earlier than what I expected, which made me want to stay in Otaru longer. Also, I felt like the guide was quite pushy with buying some of the products (horse oil) at the stopover. Anyhow, the guide was quite nice to explain both stuff in English and in Mandarin, and he was responsive with my questions and requests to take photos, so the trip was okay. By the way, for this trip, it’s more of a you-go-around kind, so don’t expect the tour guide to show you all of the stuff.
