I highly recommend booking your ferry tickets on Trip.com. It was the first platform to book tickets, and they had plenty of tickets! About 1-2 weeks before your trip, Trip.com will send you your official ferry ticket voucher, which you can print out and redeem at the counter. If you buy business class, you can bring small luggage on board for free. Larger luggage needs to be stored in the cargo hold, but there's an additional 100 pesos fee. Port fees are also charged regardless of the hold.
