A wonderful experience that I highly recommend; I would definitely do it again. Also recommended for solo travelers, it's a doable route with beautiful scenery. We recommend doing it at sunset for the stunning view. Our guides were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was a very interesting, exciting, and enjoyable experience.

Being in the submarine was fantastic! We got to see loads of fish (different kinds too) and a huge sting ray (literally was bigger than the diver). They also have little headsets on board that give you facts about the fish/area and it played in around 12 different languages! Only downside was you don’t stay in the sub for all that long and the day is padded out with some time in las americas - overall would still recommend, once in a lifetime opportunity to see the bottom of the ocean and you get a free certificate to prove it!
Reviews: Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife

In the words of my 8 year old son “BEST DAY EVER!”. We caught the cable car to the viewing platform and climbed to the summit thereafter (permit required to access the summit). We spent 11 days in Tenerife and this was our last day excursion. We were lucky enough to access the summit of volcano with no other tourists around. We spent 30 minutes at the top taking photos and having a good look around at the crater and views. Things to note - If you drive like we did, the roads are long and winding. It’s about 70-90 minutes from most locations on the island. The drive is not for the faint hearted but is manageable. Parking was a bit of an issue. It’s super busy at any given time. We did get a space eventually but had to walk from the main road nearly to the cable car area at the base. Boarding is 20 minutes before you allocated cable car time. Be there or be square! They did leave without people who arrived late. If you are hoping to access the summit of the volcano you need to apply for a permit. We applied for this a number of months before our visit. Also, if you are going to attempt the summit be prepared for the altitude. Me and my son wholly underestimated the altitude situation. We had to stop nearly every 5 minutes to catch our breath. Took us around an hour to climbed to the top. Yes, parts of the track you will have to physically climb. Take plenty of water and snacks! All in all…. If you are going up there, go for the summit. Amazing experience and something me and my son will never forget!
