Exchanging tickets at Shinjuku Station went smoothly, and I also booked daily tickets and seats, including the Fuji return trip. I visited Karuizawa, Mt. Omuro, and Mt. Fuji over three days, saving a lot on train fares. The advantage of having a pass is that you don't have to worry about missing your train; you can just take the next one.

Nikko pass is cheap and convenient to use in the bus and train. We had a chance to travel to the lake by a bus and the drive to the hotel was exciting as the roads are hilly with lots of turns. The buses kept the timetable exactly and the bus stations were marked well on the streets. We don’t have to worry about coins and money left in the PASMO card.

I highly recommend this excursion. It's a truly beautiful place. When we booked tickets for this trip, it said temple, lake, waterfall, and CABLE CAR! This particular vendor offered the most expensive trip because the cable car was included in the price! But on the bus, we were told it wouldn't be available! Why did they change the route without notifying us? Also, they gave us very little time to explore the lake, only 15 minutes! The trip was poorly organized. Choose your vendors carefully!
