Amazing. Had been planning a drive into Abel Tasman .. but roadworks. Booked the Scenic Cruise and it was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing from the water and enticed me to plan a return trip.
Reviews: Abel Tasman: Sea Shuttle Cruise and Walking Tour Combo

We chose option A, which involves a 3-hour boat trip along the entire coast followed by a hike. A very beautiful coastal drive, highly recommended. Actually, the end felt a bit long to me, as after reaching the westernmost part of the coast, you have to walk quite a distance back past sections you've already seen. We used the time for a small picnic on board to recharge for the hike. With option A, you're dropped off at Apple Tree Bay and walk to Anchorage, where the Sea Shuttle picks you up again. We walked at a brisk pace, taking in the scenery and taking lots of photos. A very beautiful hiking trail. Of the 3 hours allotted for the approximately 7.5 km (3.5 mi) route, we hiked for a little over 2 hours, leaving a good 45 minutes to enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean at the end. Those who need or want to walk more slowly, or are hiking with children, should ideally start at 9 a.m. or keep a close eye on the time.
Reviews: Abel Tasman National Park: Day Sailing Adventure with Lunch

The ship was large enough for the number of participants; finding a suitable seat was no problem. The explanations of the surroundings were very good. Lunch, a large wrap (salad and chicken), and the dessert were very good.
