I'm very grateful to Ctrip for making it so convenient to buy international train tickets. I printed out the QR code and brought it with me. I redeemed my ticket at the white machine at the JR entrance of Terminal 1 at Kansai Airport. The machine has a Chinese language option. After redeeming my ticket, I entered the station through the manual channel and took the escalator down one level to Platform 3, which is where the Hello Kitty shuttle bus is located.

It is very convenient to buy the JR Kansai Pass in Japan directly on Ctrip. There is a special place in Kyoto Station where you can exchange the QR code provided by Ctrip for a redemption voucher, and then use the redemption voucher to exchange for a one-day ticket.
