Reviews: Hop-On Hop-Off Tour CitySightseeing Munich
Guest User2024-09-02
Where ever we go visit we like to take a Hop-on-hop-off bus to give us an overview of what the city has to offer. It is a great way to sit back and enjoy the sights and get off if there is something you would like to enjoy close up. The directions and commentary in English was a bit difficult to understand and I recommend a correction in English to change saying "next stop" when you really mean "this stop!" We were listening for "next stop" for the English Gardens, but it was actually the prior stop, so we had to ride the bus again to get off where we wanted. Also, it was unclear which bus to take at the beginning. There seemed to be a mad dash to the buses, yet not until you got to the front of the line did you know if the bus was the right one or not.

Print it out and keep it with you. Whether you'll use it or not is unknown, but it's better to have it for peace of mind than to pay a fine.

We had a wonderful day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace. Both places were absolutely beautiful and rich in history, with stunning architecture and breathtaking scenery. The tour was well organised, with a comfortable journey. A special thank you to our tour guide, Sabine, who was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about sharing the history and stories behind each attraction. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Munich who wants to explore Bavaria’s beautiful castles and cultural heritage!

Reviews: Romantic Road Rothenburg and Harburg Castle Day Tour from Munich
Guest User2026-07-17
Most European castles feel like crowded museums, but pulling up to Harburg in the crisp morning light felt like discovering a secret. Because it survived every major war completely unscathed, there are no modern reconstructions here. Walking through the covered wooden battlements, the air smelled purely of centuries-old damp stone and pine wood. Running my hands along the original stone arrow slits while looking down at the misty Wörnitz River below was a deeply surreal, quiet highlight.Entering Rothenburg ob der Tauber through its massive stone gates felt completely cinematic. While the iconic Plönlein intersection is beautiful, my absolute favorite memory was escaping the central plazas to walk the Stadtmauer (City Wall). Walking along the elevated, covered wooden gallery allowed me to peer down into the secret, sun-dappled courtyard gardens of local residents. It felt incredibly intimate and peaceful.
