I was able to book a lounge access for my nephew using trip coins at Plaza Premium at Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2. Unfortunately the main Plaza Premium Lounge was under renovation so we were directed to a makeshift lounge. The food was amazing and my nephew thoroughly enjoyed the minced meat and rice and stir fry noodles, and we loved the chicken soup too! Hopefully we can use the main lounge next time we visit Taiwan!

There is a selection of food available. The rooms are spacious, divided into different zones, and have power outlets for charging devices. There is also a shower area with complete amenities, making it very convenient.

My experience using the VIP lounge at Taipei Songshan Airport was generally positive. Its biggest advantage is its convenient location; after check-in and security, it's quick to reach the lounge and not far from the boarding gate, making it ideal for travelers who don't want to walk too much within the airport. The lounge was clean and quiet, with comfortable seating, allowing for a good rest while waiting for your flight. The meals consisted mainly of simple hot food, bread, snacks, and drinks. While the variety wasn't as extensive as at larger international airports, it was sufficient for a quick pre-flight meal. The staff were friendly and quick to replenish food and tidy up the area. Songshan Airport itself isn't large, so the lounge is also quite spacious; seating may be limited during peak hours. Overall, it's conveniently located, comfortable, and well-suited for short-haul international trips or business travelers.
