We had an absolute blast on the 1.5-hour Sydney Whale Whisperer cruise! Departing right from King Street Wharf 6 at Darling Harbour was super convenient and seamless to find. Andrew was wonderfully friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable; Having such a great conversation with him made the entire trip feel personal and relaxed. The boat was comfortable, the views of the harbor were breathtaking, and seeing the whales in action was an unforgettable moment. If you're looking for a smooth, well-organized, and memorable whale-watching experience in Sydney, this is definitely the one to book!

There were only Chinese and Koreans, and most of them seemed to be on tours. The food was decent and tasty, and it's really pretty once you go up, so make sure to take lots of photos!!

Reviews: Sydney sunset dinner cruise Captain Cook Asia sunset dinner
Guest User2026-06-15
Our cruise dining experience was awesome. The food was average. Meal was well-presented and enjoyable, and the dining staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. The only minor issue we experienced was on one occasion when we departed quite late and had to wait approximately 30 minutes. While this was a little inconvenient, it did not significantly impact our overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would happily recommend the dining experience to others.

Reviews: Sydney Harbour Captain Cook Cruise Sightseeing/Afternoon Tea/Long Lunch/Sunset Dinner/Cocktail Cruise - Departing from Darling Harbour/Circular Quay

Extremely high value for money! I highly recommend the Sunset ferry for the best views. The Sydney Opera House is beautiful from every angle. It connects to Watson's Harbour and Manly Harbour, making a loop back. The ferry ticket is only a few hundred NT dollars, making it a very cost-effective experience. A must-do when visiting Sydney!

Reviews: Port Stephens Moonshadow whale watching cruise departing from Nelson Bay

I booked the 1.30pm whale watching. It was so easy to book online and it was cheaper booking through Trip. com than booking direct to the company. I made sure we took motion sickness tablets in case the water was rough. But lucky it was a beautiful, sunny day. The ocean was very calm. It was not too windy. We saw more than 6 whales swimming close together and many dolphins swimming close to the boat. The boat hovered near the whales for 30 minutes. The entire trip took approximately 2.5 hours. It was an amazing experience.
