It was a very interesting experience. The elephants were very gentle, though some were quite mischievous. The mud bath and bathing sessions were particularly fun.

Reviews: Chiang Mai Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Half Day Tour in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Guest User2026-06-23
The elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai is a truly healing experience. It promotes a "no-riding" approach, allowing us to get close to the elephants with the utmost respect. During the tour, we donned traditional Karen clothing, learned how to communicate with the elephants, hand-fed them, and even enjoyed mud baths and played with them in the river. Watching the elephants roam freely in the jungle, leisurely chewing sugarcane, or wallowing in the mud was incredibly infectious – their pure joy was truly infectious. This is more than just tourism; it's a profound lesson in conservation, making you deeply appreciate the preciousness of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. Although the tour takes an hour, it's absolutely worth the time to truly experience the vitality of the elephants and is highly recommended.

Reviews: Chiang Mai Kerchor elephant eco park half-day tour optional rafting
Guest User2026-10-10
It was a really great experience. It seems like Koreans don't use Trip.com much; there were hardly any Koreans and everyone was Chinese. However, I liked that they operated separate groups for the Chinese and the Koreans (a small minority). They also spoke English very well.

Reviews: Chiang Mai Living Green Elephant Sanctuary&Foundation | Living Green | Elephant Conservation | Departing from Chiang Mai

I had a fantastic experience here; ended up being the only person who didn't go rafting, instead I made supplement treats I got to feed to the elephants and planted some sugar cane. Mr. Chan was a wonderful guide, I really appreciate him! The elephants seem happy and well cared for. Thank you LG!
