During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, I took my elderly relatives on a chartered day trip to Longji. The driver, Mr. Li, was very kind and provided excellent service. Although we encountered traffic jams and it took nearly four hours to reach the Longji scenic area, the terraced fields were still quite beautiful.

It was fun because, since there were no tours available in Spanish or English, we took the Chinese tour, just like other foreigners. I found it a pleasant experience. The driver was fine, the place was nice, but perhaps my expectations were higher. It's true that each date offers different views, and I expected to see more. If I could change anything, it would be to choose the guided option or simply not do it at all, because it involves too much travel time from Guilin. But if you want to go and don't want to spend too much, the price-quality ratio seemed the best, especially if there are fewer than three of you. By the way, regarding the food, the driver took us to a specific place, which we imagine offers him some kind of bonus (which is normal), to eat the typical local dish served in bamboo, but you can order any dish.


