We enjoyed being in an Italian home with a lovely woman and her husband. She was lovely spoke excellent English so we learned a lot! The food we made was absolutely delicious she provided us 2 bottles of wine. We were full and satisfied after. She was also extremely flexible as we were 1 hour late and she agreed to change our time. She even provided us each a bus ticket . My only complaint was with no transportation it was a little out of the way. Our bus drivers were not helpful telling us when to get off near train station so we had to walk 1 hour with large suitcases through La Spezia! Otherwise would definently recommend this experience

Be sure to arrive HUNGRY because you will be eating so many delicious courses. The hike up to Barbara’s house worked up my appetite and even then I still got full by the end. Barbara and her husband were so sweet and welcoming and their home (Along with their two adorable dogs) was just the perfect backdrop. They grow their own tomatoes and veggies so it truly is a unique and true Italian culinary experience
