Three of the five of us had taken this same tour a few years ago. There is SOOOOO much information packed into just 3 hours! It’s an outstanding sampling of Amish history and daily home, school and work life while driving through stunning Amish farmland, far from the well beaten tourist areas. It’s the quintessential Amish experience in its most honest and authentic form. If you have the chance, watch the movie Witness with Harrison Ford and Danny Glover before going! We have learned so much each time. ★

What a fun way to learn about the Amish! Our tour guide/ van driver Dale was amazing! He grew up in the area and really knows the history. The drive out to Susie’s farm was beautiful farm country!
We had a huge family style lunch cooked and served by Susie. The table was set and had bread and butter, pickles, rhubarb jam, bean salad and beets . All were sweet which my husband loves! The lunch had ham balls( which I have never heard of and actually liked), boneless chicken thighs, creamy mashed potatoes, buttery noodles, and peas with a few carrots mixed in. Dessert was homemade rhubarb cobbler, sugar cookies and the creamiest vanilla ice cream! Water and home brewed iced tea for drinks.
Susie’s was nice and answered all of our questions! I highly recommend recommend this trip in Amish county!★
