This mangrove tour exceeded my expectations; our guides, Jay and Xiaoqi, were absolutely fantastic! From the very beginning, they were incredibly attentive, helping us spot wildlife and reminding us to protect ourselves from mosquitoes and sun. Once inside the mangroves, they patiently explained the various plants and animals, answering all our strange questions without ever getting annoyed. Whether we were wading in the mudflats or getting on and off the boat, they were always mindful of everyone's safety. What touched us most was their warmth—they were all smiles, chatting like old friends, and even took many beautiful photos for us. What was supposed to be an ordinary day trip became a truly unforgettable experience because of them.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jay and Xiaoqi; the mangroves are even more worthwhile because of you! I'll definitely book you again next time! 🌿🚣★

My day trip to Mount Kinabalu was the happiest day of my trip to Kota Kinabalu! I've seen many beautiful oceans around the world, but a tropical rainforest is a rare treat. It was a wonderful and enriching day. Our guide, Ali, was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. I was traveling alone, and he took great care of me throughout the entire trip! The Mount Kinabalu viewpoint was breathtaking, the ATV experience was thrilling, the search for Rafflesia flowers was fascinating, the fruit market was delicious, and the dairy farm was absolutely stunning—it felt like a Malaysian version of Xinjiang! The roasted pork on the way down the mountain was also amazing! A visit to Mount Kinabalu is a must when in Kota Kinabalu; with the ocean on one side and the rainforest on the other, it was an unforgettable experience.★

Let me first share my experience of the day trip. From the moment our driver, Xiao Qi, picked us up, the journey to the mangrove boat was smooth. The air conditioning was on the whole time in the car. On the boat, all the staff, including the captain, were incredibly attentive, making sure we didn't miss the proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, or lizards. Everyone searched meticulously. The captain tirelessly made every turn and turn, ensuring we didn't leave empty-handed. You might not find anything in the forest, right? The guides used their high-speed cameras to take pictures, showing you the skin texture and eyebrows of the baby crocodiles. At sunset, the guides tirelessly took photos of the fiery sunset, moving on to the next one without missing a single one. The firefly experience was even more heartwarming. They used a mother lantern to attract fireflies, caught one, and let you make a wish. Throughout the trip, they catered to everyone's hearing, sight, and emotional needs; their service was comprehensive. No need to compare—for sunset and firefly watching, this is the place to go!
Additionally, as mentioned above, this is a thank-you letter. I want to thank Xiao Qi, the driver and tour guide. He is an excellent, kind, and responsible tour guide. I hope his company leaders can see this article. When I encountered language communication difficulties, he treated me like a friend from out of town, patiently helping me communicate by phone and taking on the task of translation. He continued to help me solve the problem the next day and proactively contacted me to check on my safety. I am a lucky person to have met such a team. I wish you all the best!★

This was the itinerary for the first day in Kota Kinabalu. I booked this Manukan and Sand Island day trip through Xiaole customer service. The scenery was beautiful and the boat ride was only 10 minutes. The two tour guides spoke excellent Chinese, and the lunch was quite good. It was a wonderful trip.★

Overall, I was very satisfied with this mangrove forest and firefly tour. The sunset we saw was absolutely stunning, even more beautiful than the sunset at Tanjung Aru Beach. The afterglow was gorgeous and soothing, and every shot was photogenic. The only minor drawback was the long distance and time spent traveling, but this didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the trip.
Special thanks to Xiaoyong, whose service was exceptionally attentive and thoughtful throughout the trip. Our guide patiently explained the local customs and traditions, provided helpful reminders about safety precautions, and even proactively helped us find the best photo spots. We also thank our driver, who drove smoothly and reliably, was punctual, and provided a clean and comfortable vehicle. Both he and his companion were enthusiastic, reliable, and responsible throughout the trip. This was a pleasant and enjoyable trip, and I highly recommend it to everyone. I will definitely choose this tour again for my next trip.
