Quick and easy way to get to downtown Osaka directly from airport. Allowed to eat and drink in the train (but be modest) and there are folding trays in front of the seat like in an airplane.

I think you should choose the pass based on your itinerary. My family used the subway, and our itinerary included Osaka Castle, Tennoji Zoo, Tsutenkaku Observatory and Slide, and the Wonder Cruise. We traveled around comfortably using the Osaka Amazing Pass. The slide was really fun, and the kids loved it. If you go to Dotonbori, be sure to take the cruise in the evening; it really gives you that travel vibe. It's great that you can book the Wonder Cruise in advance!

From Kansai Airport to Kyoto, you can take the Haruka train and use a reserved seat. However, using the Keihan line requires exchanging tickets at the specific station, so I didn't use it and felt it wasn't worth it. I only went to Sanjo. If you want to go to Uji, the route details in the Trips app should be clearer and easier to understand.

When I first started traveling, I used an IC card because I didn't know much about it, but now that I'm moving beyond the beginner stage, I've started using a transportation pass. Since I was only planning to travel to Osaka, this pass was perfect. I used it well.

If you're taking the train from JR Nara Station, I highly recommend checking in at the station beforehand, as there are only two counters and you have to take a number and queue. You can check in your Haruka train time directly here, which is very convenient. Just pick up your ticket upon entering the station and transfer to the Haruka train at Tennoji Station (Platform 15). You don't need to buy a separate ticket to Tennoji. Highly recommended!
