Reviews: Hue city Full-Day Group Tour from Da Nang or Hoi An | Hue Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda and Khai Dinh Tomb
Guest User2026-06-22
The itinerary was well-planned and efficient. Although the group was relatively small, the journey was quite long, the bus was comfortable, and the tour guide was very helpful. The trip ended an hour ahead of schedule, allowing us to successfully catch the Da Nang Fireworks Festival.

Reviews: Discover Hue Imperial City: Full-Day Guided Group Tour Depart from Da Nang or Hoi An
Guest User2026-10-04
If you’re staying in Da Nang or Hoi An, I definitely recommend dedicating one full day to Hue. It’s a completely different side of Vietnam — much more historical, atmospheric and connected to the country’s imperial past. I joined a guided group tour from Da Nang, which was probably the easiest option because Hue is quite far for a casual day trip and the tour included transportation and several stops. The highlight was, of course, the Imperial City of Hue — the former capital of Vietnam and home of the Nguyen Dynasty. The complex is huge, so don’t expect to see every corner in one visit. There are gates, courtyards, temples, pavilions and reconstructed buildings, while some areas still show traces of the destruction caused by wars. We also visited one of Hue’s imperial tombs and other historical sites around the city. Having a guide was genuinely useful here!

Reviews: Hue city Full-day Guided Tour from Da Nang/Hoi An: Imperial Citadel + Pagoda + Royal Tomb
Guest User2026-09-12
This time, we were accompanied by a Japanese-speaking guide, Ms. Tay. While Japanese-speaking guides are more expensive than English-speaking ones, her explanations were incredibly thorough, making it the right choice. She picked us up at our hotel in Da Nang at 7:40 AM, and we traveled to Hue, a journey of about two hours. Normally, it's a bus transfer, but because there were few participants, we were given a four-seater car. The ride was comfortable, and during the journey, she engaged us in conversation, providing explanations about current life in Vietnam and the local area. When we visited a temple, she kindly held our umbrellas and patiently taught us the proper etiquette for worship. She also provided detailed explanations of the building's decorations and the history of the kings, which was very educational. Ms. Tay's Japanese was excellent, and her extensive knowledge of Japan made her explanations incredibly easy to understand. She also patiently answered all our questions. It was fantastic to learn not only about tourist attractions but also about the realities of Vietnam! Unfortunately, our trip coincided with a period of heavy rain, so we got stuck in traffic on the way back. However, the rain kept things cool, and the long journey provided ample opportunities for breaks, allowing us to sightsee without worrying about heatstroke. I'm truly satisfied with our experience.

Reviews: Small Group · Depart from Hue city: Hue Imperial City Full-Day Guided Tour with lunch
Guest User2026-08-14
The guide was kind, made an effort to provide detailed information, and went the extra mile to ensure the travelers' comfort. Since the tour ran from 8 AM to 5 PM, there were many places visited and a lot of time spent traveling. I am confident that if you have a strong interest in history, it will be an interesting trip. However, it was a bit tiring for me.😅

Reviews: Small Group - Depart from Hue city | Hue Imperial City Full-day Guided Tour: Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, Dong Ba Market, Conical Hat Village, Royal Tombs

Easy to book. Confirmation on whassap the night before. Very punctual on the morning of tour. Vehicle was clean and comfortable, driver drove responsibly. We got on a 12 seater van. 12 persons for our whole group. We completed everything in the itinerary. We covered a lot of things in those few hours so naturally you couldnt wander around a lot, more like touch base and go. Some places have a lot of steps so those with mobility issues may have problems like my mom in her 70s. But my 6 year old enjoyed it immensely. Trinh the guide was very enthusiastic and friendly. She is comfortable with everyone and speaks very well. They dont try to sell you stuff. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend if you wanted to see everything in a short amount of time with a friendly local guide.

Reviews: Unique Hue City Tour from Da Nang by Train via Hai Van Pass
Guest User2026-10-08
What a wonderful trip! We were picked up from the Furama Hotel in a comfortable minibus at 6 a.m., and along the way, we picked up more tourists before arriving at the train station in Da Nang. We really enjoyed traveling by train first, which allowed us to see beautiful nature and have fun in the karaoke car. The train is "historic," but everything is clean, the seats are comfortable, and the ticket was included in the tour price. Upon arrival at the destination station, the same bus picked us up and drove us throughout the route, then back to the hotel in Da Nang in the evening. I want to note that our driver, Chat, was a true professional; he handled the difficult journey well and took care of us throughout the trip—it was a pleasure. Our guide, Van, deserves a special mention—she's incredibly positive, has a very engaging story, and speaks fluent English with excellent pronunciation (my husband doesn't speak English well, but he understood everything without my translation). Her knowledge, sense of humor, tact, and thoughtfulness made the trip unforgettable! The local lunch was also delicious; drinks are available for an extra charge.
