We loved our day with Jackie up the west coast and down inland. We have travelled by InterCity bus, which works great but this was a good opportunity to get out, take photos, hear about what you are seeing on the way. It was great to see the pancake rocks, the seal colony, lunch with the pies was the best meal we have had yet! It was only the two of us on the tour, so we skipped the beer and gin tasting as it wasn’t for us, but that was no problem. We went for walk in Reefton. I especially enjoyed our walk around Brunner Mine Site. Jackie is knowledgable and passionate. We had a great day out!

Very good day tour with Linda as our guide, plenty of local information not only about the sights we visited but also about local landmarks, industries, and history of the area; adequate stops for coffee, lunch at Monteith in Greymouth, arvo tea at Sea View Hotel; very enjoyable and highly recommended!

It was a wonderful day with stunning views of Lake Wanaka and the incomparable blue Hokitika River. We visited the beaches of the Tasman Sea. Jakel was a very communicative and welcoming guide, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge about the region. Like any Kiwi Cheaky Travel guide, he discussed the economy, history, and relevant regional facts. Excellent tour.


