A lovely short trip. The view is simply magnificent! You can take a walk at the top, stay in a private hut, or enjoy the view on the bus. The bus waits 40 minutes before returning. Restrooms are available. It can get very cold. The wind is icy. I was surprised by a temperature of -7 degrees Celsius (19 degrees Fahrenheit) and was underdressed. I found the price too high compared to a full-day tour.

Peter was an excellent driver and guide. full of stories and information. we had an excellent day out. There were no lowlights here. All 4 stops were awesome and we especially lived the wildlife sanctuary and Richmond was the perfect way to spend 90 minutes. everyone we interacted with at both places were most welcoming and warm. Pick up from the cruise terminal was seamless and we arrived back with plenty of time to spend in town too.

What a wonderful variety of the best of the Hobart area! From the Mt. Field National Park forest to the Bonorong Sanctuary and finally the summit of Mt. Wellington we were treated to experiences we could not have accessed on our own without a great deal of driving and effort. Thankfully we had an expert driver who kept us moving but gave us plenty of time to immerse in each location.

our guide (I am sorry I forgot his name) is very knowledgeable (His experience as history teacher has probably contributed to it). We had a lovely hiking tour and also visited the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. The guide from the park was lovely. feeding kangaroos is definitely the highlight.
