Reviews: Gjirokastra UNESCO city & Blue Eye - From Tirana/Durres

Very full, rich day visiting the Gjirokastra Castle and town, and the Blue Eye. Our tour guide Dave (Dejvi) was great: personable, enthusiastic, told many stories and history on the way that made the long drive fly by. We also stopped at a gas station market/cafe once everyone was picked up to use the restroom and get coffee and other snacks. I thought the tour was well organized, all communication was through WhatsApp, Dejvi shared his location so it was easy to coordinate with everyone. Also it was a small group size of 8 people total, which was very pleasant.
The castle tour was the first stop, which was very interesting and had beautiful views/photo opportunities. We got 2 hours free time after the castle visit to go to the bazaar and get some food. Our last stop was Blue Eye. It rained a bit during the blue eye visit, but Dejvi really made the best of the situation and everyone had a nice time despite the weather. Overall great trip!
