We visited Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo, and I never experienced any signal issues. What impressed me even more was that I had purchased two eSIMs—one from here and another from a different platform for my husband. Unfortunately, the one from the other platform didn’t work at all. During this eSIM usage trip to Okinawa, 4G/5G signal was available half an hour before docking at Naha Port. eSIM installation was quick and easy, and network connectivity was generally smooth. Navigation, Uber, Netflix, Line, and ChatGPT all worked smoothly. Network connectivity was only improved on the balcony due to the large number of simultaneous users on the ship or the ship's metal structure.

I'm Japanese. I used this travel eSIM because I hit my data limit at the end of the month. It uses the network of a carrier that is said to have relatively stable coverage in Japan, so it was easy to connect anywhere, and I was satisfied. However, the IP address itself is from another country such as Singapore or Hong Kong, so some services intended for Japanese users were unusable without using a VPN.

Of course, we had our doubts. We were worried we might suddenly lose connection. But no, everything's fine. We're in China now. The internet is excellent, even on the Simatai section of the Great Wall. While we were on the train, the network briefly went out, but we didn't really need it then and there. We're heading to Vietnam in a few days; I'll tell you about it in my reviews of the second E-SIM.
