The guide was wonderful, the pancake rocks are beautiful, and so are all the other scenery! We also really enjoyed the break for a drink/beverage (of your choice) and the appetizers. It's definitely worth it, do it!

We took the TranzAlpine as part of our journey to Queenstown - breathtaking views all the way! Unfortunately, we faced a surprising 2-hour delay, which was frustrating. If time allows, consider adding Pancake Rocks near Greymouth/Hokitika to your itinerary (though it's a bit far). Still, the landscapes made it worthwhile for train lovers!

Amazing thoughtful driver for the bus, he was just so great! the train was super too but it was just an attraction, not personal like the driver of the bus. Next time I would do the whole trip on the bus and save some money
