The sky is not beautiful, this day trip almost spent the whole trip in the rainstorm. Also because the rainstorm train 🚄 was out of service and did not sit. Tian'an Heyuan also failed to go because the water level was too high.
Fortunately, when I was playing Gaoqiansui Gorge, it rained in the first half of the time and walked a short mountain road. It only takes about 6 hours to get back and forth, and there are nearly an hour of rugged mountain roads back and forth. If there is a history of motion sickness, the treasures should take motion sickness medicine in advance, otherwise it is really not very good.
I have been to Japan more than ten times. I chose a day trip for the first time. The price is relatively high, but the time with the group tour may be closer, and some people are watching the flowers. If you are afraid of trouble and don't want to bother, you can choose. If you want to have more fun, it will be better to choose other ways. 🫶★

What a lucky day! As a Solotrip member, I had a great experience on this day trip. We visited three or four scenic spots, and the tour guide shared the day's culture and some interesting facts on the bus. It was packed with useful information. When I booked, this place seemed to be the cheapest on every platform I looked online, so much so that I suspected it was a scam right up until the day before our trip! 😂 But after adding the 1,400 yen round-trip bus fee to the crater, it suddenly made sense.
Because the attractions are far from us, we're in neighboring prefectures, so it felt a bit like a special forces tour. But thankfully, we had enough time to check in, take photos, and rest. Besides the Takachiho Gorge, which involves some climbing stairs and walking trails, the day was a complete aerobic workout.
In Kusasenri, you can try Aso Milk, which boasts a Michelin star. The ice cream is a bit average, though.
The tour guide was young and not overly talkative. He explained each attraction, precautions, and meeting times in detail. He also checked the crater's opening hours in advance and collected the round-trip bus fare to save time with the group ticket. The driver was incredibly lively and enthusiastic. 😂
Overall, for the price, there was no pushback and everything was taken care of. You couldn't expect more.★

The itinerary was perfect—compact but not rushed. Everyone was punctual, and our guide, Xiaoyu, spoke English, Japanese, and Chinese seamlessly throughout. A truly worthwhile day trip. The Umijigoku and Zaojigoku are truly magical, with beautiful colors. Kinrinko Lake was just average, a small lake. However, Yufuin was a great place to explore, with plenty of snacks and an owl enclosure where you could pet them.★

We set off from Fukuoka. The weather was perfect and the arrangements made by our guide Wang were very reasonable. We went to the mountains first and then to the sea. We worshipped Buddha and then watched the sea. We enjoyed a peaceful and romantic day. Later, we met the people who were on duty at Aso Volcano with guide Wang again. This also showed the connection ability of the local Chinese tour company that guide Wang had integrated into. I am grateful for all the good people and good deeds I met in Kyushu.★

The meeting point was right by the Starbucks at the east-shiroku exit of Hakata Station, and we departed right on time. Some tourists overslept and didn't even wait. They were very punctual.
The bus was in excellent condition, with plenty of air conditioning. The guide was very welcoming.
Kumamoto Castle and Mount Aso were both great. Despite the heat, Kumamoto Castle was worth visiting; it's air-conditioned and offers a panoramic view from above. There were also many delicious dishes on the first floor. The horse meat fried cakes were delicious, and the limited-edition watermelon soda was very quenching.
Due to Mount Aso's active season, we couldn't get the bus to our nearest viewing location, which was a shame.
The ice cream on the mountain was delicious and worth trying. The set lunch menu was also good, though a bit pricey up there. The air was nice, and walking on the grass was much cooler than at the foot of the mountain.
