The first one is that you can buy cosmetics, bags and sunglasses cheaper than Taiwan after the tax refund in DFS duty-free shops in Hong Kong. You can buy them at the DFS Global duty-free shop at the airport. Remember, if you eat at the airport, you can choose to eat at the restaurant on the right hand side upstairs in DFS Beautiful. Because the restaurant on the left is more expensive than the restaurant on the left. Another advantage is that mainland Chinese residents who transit through Hong Kong to Taiwan can obtain a maximum stay in Hong Kong for up to 7 days per entry with Taiwan air tickets, mainland China Pass and Taiwan Entry Permit. When you arrive in Taipei, you are recommended to apply for a youth travel card at the Visitor Service Center (all major MRT stations, such as Taipei Station, Zhongxiao Fuxing, Jiannan Road, etc.). Free, Taiwan Pass is available. It was a satisfying trip with a good price that was definitely worth it to see the quokkas, even though the waves were strong and I was tossed around a lot.
