It was rainy that day, and I was worried that the helicopter could not fly, and it was safe to send us to the glacier. The guide lady was also very enthusiastic, taking us to find ice caves, watching waterfalls, and experiencing various activities.★

Did this in April 2025 with a friend (mid 30’s) and this was one of the highlights of our month long trip in New Zealand. Weather on the glacier was perfect - despite it looking foggy in town. They provide you with socks, boots, slush pants, jacket, and crampons - even gave me a fleece just in case I got cold - never wore it. Started with hats and mitts and had them off within 10 mins (wore leggings and a thermal long sleeve - with the jacket and pants provided, I was more than warm enough). Walked around and in the glacier for about 3 hours. Our guide was amazing - energetic and knowledgeable. Would for sure recommend!★

The blue ice cave on this tour wasn’t quite as breathtaking as the photos online, but it was still well worth the visit
