Pompeii was magnificent, but the weather was scorching. However, since the volcano tour was canceled, the trip wasn't too tiring. There were plenty of shopping opportunities along the way, giving us plenty of time to rest. We finally arrived back late. The tour leader said we could get a refund, but I'm not sure if trip.com will give us one.★

I was pleased to see that the pick up was on time and the various groups/toyrs were clearly separated at the meeting point. The guide was speaking very good English and his explanations made the bus ride to the volcano entertaining and informative. The hike up to the crater and the meeting spot for the geologist guide took me less than 15min but I saw many struggling and taking longer due to age, heat or physical unfitness. The geologist was very knowledgeable and tge views from the different corners of the crater were impressive. I found the tour very efficient and interesting★

Wonderful trip! It was the perfect balance of travel and site seeing with Angela sharing delightful history and Danielle our driver navigating the road like a pro. Pompeii was our first stop and we were blessed with Enzo who guided our tour and sharing more interesting and entertaining stories, taking us back in time and taking in some fabulous views. We then made our way to Vesuvius stopping to taste the best pizza on the trip!
Finally we got to the mountain for time to climb and again take in some breathtaking views, the walk itself is steep and a good level of fitness is required. I highly recommend this trip and would like to thank City Wonders for an amazing experience, great value for money and worth every penny!
