The Yuelai Hotel was better than I expected; it's a four-star hotel, clean, comfortable, and quite spacious. The receptionist was very friendly, but the male staff were a bit less attentive. I booked my tickets and could pick them up directly at Disneyland, which was very convenient.

The day before, I received a call from the person in charge, and it seemed that my request for a Japanese-language tour hadn't been properly communicated. 😨 However, the tour company was considerate and changed the driver to one who was proficient in using translation apps. This was the greatest stroke of luck! 🤞 *Apparently, the plan was to offer a Japanese-language option for the Yumenguan tour. The wording was confusing… On the day of the tour, we were a little late for departure, but we were greeted with smiles. ☺️ We were led to a clean and tidy car, where we received souvenirs. Water, tissues, and masks were also provided, and we set off. 🚙 Because the weather was expected to be hot that day, we changed our plans and headed first to the Yardang Geological Park. 🏜️ The drive took over two hours, but the driver drove continuously, prioritizing safety above all else. After arriving, the procedures went smoothly, and we spent nearly two hours sightseeing. After the tour, we were recommended a nearby restaurant for lunch, and then we headed to Yumenguan Pass 🚙. There, we unexpectedly ran into the driver's friend, who shared some watermelon with us 🍉🍉 – it was sweet and fresh! 😋 We also received some fruit as a souvenir 🍊🥭. We all took a commemorative photo before finally heading to Yumenguan Pass. We chose the shuttle bus and toured for nearly three hours 🏜️. We kept the driver waiting for quite a while, but he didn't show any displeasure and even showed concern for our well-being. Afterwards, it was another hour and a half drive back to the hotel 🚙. We said goodbye to the driver with smiles, and the tour was over. During the journey, the driver spoke slowly to match our level of Chinese, so I understood about half of it. I used a translation app for the other half 📱. Also, since the driver was a woman, she was very attentive to my wife 🙏. The day before, I was worried about how it would turn out, but with the amazing scenery and the best driver, I created memories I'll never forget 🏜️. Even though I don't speak Chinese well, I'm so glad I took the plunge and signed up! I recommend this tour 👍 Also, with the driver's permission, I'll include his name here: Ma Haiyan.
