I used it on a trip from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. Setup was very easy and I was able to use it right away. However, since you need to be in an environment with Wi-Fi when setting it up, it's best to set it up before you leave the country if possible. Switching is smooth even when you're there. However, the signal is poor in hotels in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, making it difficult to connect, so it may not be very effective indoors. (I stayed near Tianhe City in Guangzhou and near Kowloon in Hong Kong.)
