Many of the premium activities were very far from Cape Town, which wasn't clear from the description. The activity we actually wanted would have involved a three-hour one-way trip and a three-hour return trip, so we decided against it. It's a real shame.★

An incredible trip. Truly a must-do. Phil is extremely friendly. I highly recommend it.
The view is breathtaking. Phil was always very helpful, concerned about our safety, and stopped several times to take our photos.
A minimum level of fitness is required to climb to the top. My husband and I, both in our 30s, had no problems. We saw people in their 70s who were in good physical condition reaching the top. People over 60 and in poor physical condition or who are significantly overweight may not be able to climb to the top.
I recommend bringing water and perhaps some snacks.

Beautiful gardens. We took the 90 minute guided tour which was very enlightening. The volunteer had great information and was very willing to share her expertise.
