Reviews: From Cala Gonone: motorboat transfer to Cala Luna beach
Guest User2025-08-28
No problem picking up our tickets at the ticket office near the supermarket as indicated, however we found that the boat allocation once at the port was a bit "wild". No set line, it's a mess on a first-served basis. We enjoyed the Cala Luna beach. We recommend taking the boat out in the morning at 10am at the latest before everyone arrives en masse and preparing your lunch in a cooler. Several hours of return are possible.
Reviews: Cala Gonone: Gulf of Orosei Tour with a Vintage Sailing boat

We loved the sailboat and the crew, very friendly and always attentive to our well-being. The day of the excursion, the sea was rough, and they offered us a tour on a larger, more stable boat, but none of the 12 passengers wanted to change and preferred to stay on the sailboat. They then offered us seasickness pills, which almost all of us took, and it was phenomenal. Due to the rough waves, we couldn't make the stop at the Venere pools, but we were able to see them and everything else that was planned. They also surprised us several times with special attention. The weather wasn't very good, but everything else was fantastic.

We took the first boat, at 7:30 a.m. I definitely wouldn't leave any later!! We had the advantage of being the first boat tourists to arrive at Carla Mariolu, meaning it was still empty, which was really great. All the other beaches we visited afterward were packed. It's a mass process; new crowds arrive, other crowds are picked up. Accordingly, it stinks of kerosene!! The beaches are, of course, great, as described above, with lots of pebbles; beach shoes are definitely a plus. Lots of sun, so definitely bring a parasol. What was really great about our tour was that we visited four beaches in total: first Cala Mariolu, then a quick photo stop at Cala Goloritze, then Cala Sisine (well...). On top of that, we stopped at Cala Luna, where we went swimming for over an hour. The water is beautiful everywhere! A tax of €3 per person was added to the price; children 9 and older count as adults.
