As someone that work’s in the industry and lives in a prominent wine region in CA I was excited to see and taste this old world region with its unique varieties. We visited 3 wineries with a great dinner at the last. The wines were quite good. The pours were not Napa sized either but more like 1/4 glasses. Mostly white’s. With a few reds like a tasty 2021 Pinot noir from its Hungarian oak barrel. And a new variety for the region - Syrah. The wine makers were happy to share their knowledge about fermentation, yeast, harvest bird, crush techniques etc. Wines were available for purchase and I just wish I could have taken home some of wines. Dinner was great. By the end of the tour the whole group had become friends. Well crafted wines. Do it. !!

Obuda Tour - Our Secret Food tour with Zoltan and Kitty was fantastic! So wonderful to get away from tourist area and enjoy traditional and delicious cuisine from local experts both passionate and knowledgeable about the history and culture of their city and country. We did not leave hungry, each stop offered dishes unique to the area. Favorites were the local meat shop, stuffed cabbage and flaming dessert. We ate like locals, but felt like special guests!


