Reviews: Private Bucharest: History & Food with Traditional Meal

I signed my daughter and myself up for this tour because it was our first time in Bucharest, and I was excited to try something new. I've heard that big group tours can be a bit intense for kids, so I was looking for a different experience. Our awesome guide, Elaina, exceeded all of our expectations! She was so knowledgeable and kind, and my daughter and I really enjoyed her company. She thoughtfully answered all my questions, both food-related and otherwise, and was incredibly patient as my daughter worked through her jet lag. As we wandered through the city, hearing the fascinating history of the buildings and areas was a real treat. And, of course, the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Whether you want to immediately feel like a local on your first visit to Bucharest or discover a new side to the city you already love, this is the tour for you!

Angelica was a wonderful guide and host who was knowledgeable and very friendly. Our group was very small- just the two of us and her but the time pasted with interest and we explored areas that we wouldn't have experienced on our own. We made the mistake of grabbing a breakfast roll for the meeting point at 10am. This really wasn't needed as plenty of food and drink provided throughout the tour. We have done similar tours in other major cities and this was equally as good as others. would definitely recommend. wish we'd booked for our first day. thank you

Mihaela was the most incredible guide!! It was just two of us and we both felt we connected with her as a friend! She offered wonderful personal experiences and context to the historical facts of the places we visited, so we experienced Bucharest through her. She made the tour personable for us, and we had an amazing lunch of sarmale, mămăligă, and papanași for desert! Could not recommend this tour or our wonderful guide Mihaela more. July was a hot time to go, but we took lots of breaks. Water and a snack (and lunch obviously) is included in the tour, so you’ll be all set!

We spent two days with Laura experiencing Bucharest history, life, atmosphere, food and architecture. She’s a terrific guide - excellent spoken English, very knowledgeable and fun to be with. We covered various districts of Bucharest including many delightful back streets off the beaten path - highly enjoyable and recommended

We had a wonderful time. Bogdan, our guide was very knowledgeable, informative and accommodative. The highlight of the trip were the salt mines. It is a sight to see & the air is so healthy to breathe. I recommend the trip and Bogdan.
