Reviews: From Benidorm: Guadalest, Altea & ticket in Algar Waterfalls

Amazing trip Im so glad I did it, even though it is not recommended for visitors with limited mobility, I managed the steps of the waterfall using my stick. Danny our tour guide and Daniel our driver were fantastic. Daniel is an amazing driver, how he managed a coach around those narrow streets I'll never know! Danny our guide was amazing with his friendly approach and wealth of knowledge he made the experience an enjoyable one. I would definitely like to return to Guadalest to do the 'white house' museum up to the castle. I only couldn't do it today as I had already done the steps up to the waterfall and was unable to manage the 3 floors to the top of the museum. This isn't a negative though... Just means I'll have to come back on holiday again! It was so nice to get away for the day, away from the madness of Benidorm and visit the tranquil serenity of authentic Spain!

We had a wonderful tour with Nadia who was so informative about the history of Alicante and the region as well as the important landmarks in the area. Her English was excellent and she tried to slow down even for those who had English as their second language. We visited the Mercato Central and were able to taste some of the local Jamon and Manchego. We then visited Castel de Santa Barbara which we accessed via Taxi paid for by Nadia. My only complaint here is that the way the tour description reads you get an hour to explore the Castel but in fact we only spent around 15mins here and would’ve liked more time to look around. We then walked back down from the Castel through the Santa Cruz area and down to the old town. The tour finished with a drink and a Montadito each. We learned a lot from Nadia and really enjoyed the tour just would’ve liked to have more time at the Castel for five star review which is not at fault of Nadia who did a five star job.

Absolutely amazing day. Picked up by coach outside the hotel. Very friendly tour guide on the coach. We stopped at a Lovely village and was given lots of great information. Then onto the waterfalls. Stunning and great fun. It was 17 degrees in the water but that did not stop us going in to swim. Amazing experience. Very pleased we visited. If someone has mobility issues this is not a place for them unfortunately. Lots of steep steps.

A really fun activity. The arena is steeped in history. Access to the side rooms and comprehensive explanations are provided by the audio guide. The staff were very welcoming.
