We would highly recommend a private tour of Monopoli with Valeria who is a most wonderful host for a morning spent learning all about the history, ancient and modern and culture of her home town. Valeria is incredibly knowledgeable but is able to share her knowledge with you in a really easy and accessible way which makes the tour even more fascinating. She clearly has a passion for both the place and its history; the details she provides and the anecdotes help to bring the history to life. The guide was fantastic, a local from Alberobello. She had excellent English and was super interesting. She gave us a glimpse into the lives of the villagers. I highly recommend it. Very well organized.
