This was the 3rd out of 4 hikes (other hikes include Lassithi Plateau, Kritsa Canyon, and Richtis Waterfall) that we did with the company Experiences Crete. Giorgio’s was our guide for all the hikes. He picked us up at our airbnb and stopped on the way for savory snack for us to eat at the halfway point. He’s an experienced hiker (mountaineering and bouldering) and explained foot placement during some of the hike. The views were amazing (I’m torn between Lassithi and this hike for views). We saw the oldest Olive Tree (around 3000 yrs old). Afterwards we stopped at a small village for coffee/smoothie and then swimming at Tholos (not very crowded). Water felt really nice after the hike. He’s very friendly and gave tips on what to do and eat in Heraklion and other parts of Greece. I highly recommend this tour or any of the other tours!

Evie was such a wonderful teacher and the day was so lovely! Definitely recommend doing this when you are in Crete!


