Buying the half-price card really saved me a lot on transportation costs!! Many cable cars and boats offer half-price fares, which is a great deal. But remember to save the QR code, as there are ticket inspectors checking your half-price card on almost every longer train journey!

I purchased a Eurail pass because it is cheaper than buying individual tickets, especially when I have to take long-distance train journeys multiple times. Furthermore, with delays on European trains—particularly long-distance ones—being severe these days, even if you have reserved a seat, you may find yourself having to take different trains along the way. In such situations, the unrestricted Eurail pass has been a great help.

It works great; basically, just showing your e-ticket is enough. It's accepted on most buses, trains, ferries, and cable cars in Interlaken and Brienz. This year, the cable car to Schilthorn was also free for the entire trip, which was a great deal.
