Luel was fantastic! He’s very knowledgeable and a super good driver. It’s the off season so I got a private tour, which made it better for learning more about the history and culture. Luel answered all of my questions and we had a great chat. I would recommend this tour for solo travelers because you get to see a lot of the city in one go. There was no forced shopping or anything like that but Luel did take me to a shop when I asked. Very chill. And he was a fantastic driver!

I enjoyed sightseeing with Aman Tour especially going to the old churches. I don’t think I could have done it alone and without them. It was my first time in Ethiopia and I happened to have an 18-hour layover so after I got to my transit hotel, had a rest, I started going around Addis Ababa with Aman Tour. I also enjoyed the traditional Ethiopian food.

We had such a wonderful day exploring Addis Ababa with Merit Ethiopian Experience Tours. Our guide, Biruk, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and very flexible. Even though we arrived late, he was so kind and patient, waiting for us without any issue. One of the great advantages of this tour is that the driver is separate from the guide, which made transportation smooth and convenient. We were able to get dropped off right at the sights and picked up again easily without any hassle. Our day included a visit to the Palace Museum, where we learned about past Ethiopian rulers, and a stop at a local home for the traditional coffee ceremony. Getting to participate in the process ourselves was a real highlight and gave us such a personal connection to the culture. We also appreciated being able to customize our day. Biruk helped us fit in our own preferred stops and even arranged for a late lunch at a skybar restaurant, which was the perfect ending to the tour. Overall, this experience gave us a true taste of the people, history, and culture of Ethiopia. We left feeling enriched and grateful. Highly recommend!

I usually don’t care for guided tours and prefer to explore on my own, but we had only a few hours stopover in Addis before our next flight and boy was I not disappointed!! In less than 4 hours we got to explore the city, eat a wonderful local dish, and chant with thousands of prayers on the streets as they celebrate the finding of the true cross- a truly unique and once in a lifetime experience for us, which Ashu also very attentively documented and photographed it for us. Was absolutely wonderful!! Recommend this as the only way to explore Addis!
