What a fantastic experience it was!! Travelling on gravel and dirt paths gave us views that wouldn’t be available by car. Our guide/owner was very conscientious and checked on everyone at each stop. He made sure we were using the safety equipment and kept us informed of what was happening next. Not to be missed!!

Mario showed and explained many impressive places on St. Miguel to us in a very competent, empathetic, and thorough manner, leaving no questions unanswered. We learned a great deal and had a lot of fun.

It was a fantastic excursion. The pickup in Ponta Delgada went smoothly. We got a quick briefing, then boarded the boat and off we went. At first, we only saw a few dolphins – later, we were right in the middle of a large pod, which was really cool. Suddenly, there was a radio call and everyone got nervous – sit down, let's go! Full speed ahead over the waves (that alone was worth it 😜). 10 km off the coast, we saw the highlight of the day: two blue whales… indescribable to see them with our own eyes 🤩 Even Sophie, our guide, was completely thrilled… On the way back, we made a detour with Captain Miguel to the island of Ilhéu de Vila Franca. In short – 5 stars+
