Wow!! I cannot recommend this trip enough!! It was absolutely amazing, the perfect blend of guidance and information with enough freedom to explore and see things on your own. Dao was the best tour guide, I've ever had, anywhere. I did this tour with my wife and sister, but I will definitely be taking my parents and friends on this exact tour when they visit me. If you want to see the Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China and you only have one full day in Beijing, then 1000000% book this trip. Thank you for this wonderful experience.★

Let's start with the fact that the tour description states that the cable car up the wall is included in the price. In reality, it only includes a short evening climb. If you want to visit during the day, you'll have to pay extra, as the guide explains when approaching the location. This is a major downer. If we'd known about it in advance, we wouldn't have taken it as a scam, but when you're presented with a fait accompli, it's unpleasant. In reality, you can pay for the cheapest package (entrance), and then pick up whatever you need on site. We ended up paying for something we didn't need and buying what we needed afterward, because the description on TripCom didn't match reality (the guide explained this was due to translation difficulties). Overall, we were satisfied; it's a gorgeous place. And by coincidence, we visited the wall twice: once for an extra fee and once at night with a purchased tour.★

The schedule was very very very tight! You basically depend on others of the group and the traffic to be able to see something of the watertown. We are a young fit couple and in the parts of the watertown and night view of the wall we had to walk pretty fast to arrive regarding the schedule. Queue up early for the cable car of the night view at. At the first stop you have enough time to walk the wall. The rest is pretty tight tmeven though we were lucky with a group being on time and very little traffic. The guide answered all our questions but you can to listen very focused to wait she says because the people of the entire bus booked different things so it's a little confusing in the beginning. For us everything worked out well, more time would have been great in the watertown and on the wall. Next time we would stay overnight in the watertown area. The place for the great wall is great we enjoyed that part very much, we were lucky and had a really good view and sunny day that day.★

Very happy to have booked this trip! We were able to see two sections of The Great Wall in one day, a feat that we couldn’t possibly have achieved on our own. Our guide, Andy, was so friendly & very knowledgeable. Our driver, Mr. Gao, was a very safe driver. I am so happy to have experienced Jinshangling during the day— the trek was a bit challenging, but the views were incredible. Seeing sunset at Simatai— an experience Andy made sure we wouldn’t miss— was also a highlight. The Gubej water town was a lovely, pretty way to end our adventures. Overall, it’s clear this experience is well-planned, efficient, and makes traveling stress-free.
