Jennifer was an outstanding private tour guide for our visit to Shaxi Ancient Town. From the moment we met her, her warm demeanor and deep knowledge of the town grew our excitement for the journey ahead. Our tour was relaxing, allowing us to appreciate the region's tranquil lifestyle. Jennifer, a local Naxi, shared comprehensive insights into the local minority culture, Naxi life, their interactions with the Bi people, and the history of the Tea Horse Road, enriching our understanding of Shaxi's heritage.
Upon our return to Lijiang, Jennifer arranged a tea ceremony and visits to a local Naxi restaurant and supermarket, allowing us to enjoy local tea and foods, offering a rare glimpse into Naxi culture. Jennifer’s expertise, thoughtful planning, and personal touches made our tour incredibly memorable. We highly recommend her for exploring Shaxi and beyond. We were so glad that we booked this trip to travel between Lijiang and Shangri-la. We had already booked our accommodation in both places, and at first were considering to take the train, but we are so glad we chose this option instead. The driver picked us up from the hotel in Lijiang at 8am and we went to a local market for breakfast, which I had requested the day before. We arrived at our hotel in Shangri-La before 6pm. On the way we visited Tiger Leaping Gorge, witnessed the amazing scenery along the way and also visited Songzanlin Monastery on our arrival in Shangri-La. Jennifer our tour guide was really great. She is a local Naxi person, and told us a lot about Naxi culture and traditions and was really interesting to listen to, without being too talkative or giving information overload. She also left us to have some time on our own, and we didn't feel pressured or rushed. The whole pace was relaxing and stress free. Thankyou so much for a wonderful day!★
