Was worth it to be able to see a different part of Shangrila away from the main tourist areas near town. However it could be a bit tiring for a day trip as the journey takes a long time. The scenery made it worth it. I also liked how we were able to customize the tour to suit our timing while our guide was very informative and enthusiastic.

There were not many tours that accepted solo travelers, so my options were limited, but this trip was awesome and I have no regrets at all! The weather didn't seem so great in Feilaisi on the date I chose, so when I contacted the travel company they suggested I change to Balagezong, which was AWESOME!!! Best trip of my life!!! The local driver picked me up from my hotel and drove me to Balagezong, where he waited for me while I got on a tour bus that took me to various scenic locations. It is quite high in the mountains and I was amazed that the buses could go that high 😂 Lots of walking on the plank trails which is great exercise. Super beautiful and I want to go back!!!

A paradise on earth, breathtakingly beautiful. After learning about the origins of the entire scenic area, I was even more amazed. In this day and age, there are still such pure and simple figures. Their merits are comparable to those of a living Buddha.
