▲ Anshun Ancient City was first built in the 14th year of the Hongwu reign in the Ming Dynasty (1381 AD) as the first garrison city constructed in Guizhou during the early Ming Dynasty's "Northern Expedition to the South" campaign. Located in the core area of the main urban district, the ancient city covers a total area of 533.55 acres. Within its boundaries stand 151 historical buildings, including 11 protected cultural heritage sites - among which are 3 nationally protected key cultural relics: Wang Ruofei's Former Residence, Anshun Confucian Temple, and Anshun Martial Temple. Strolling through Anshun Ancient City Historical and Cultural Block, visitors encounter flagstone pathways winding deep into the alleys, flanked by rows of rustic wooden houses. Sunlight filters through ancient roof tiles to illuminate the streets, where the constant flow of pedestrians along the stone-paved roads creates a uniquely charming and leisurely atmosphere.
