The tour was amazing from start to finish. Our guide Adonis "Vileda π" was extremely nice and a fun chap. The buggy was fun and easy to drive. The tavern lunch was what you'd expect, simple and good. Overall I'd rate it as a 10/10 and will definitely redo it on our next visit to Creteβ

Fantastic walking tour with Marina, who was not only warm and welcoming, but also exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Heraklion. She met my wife and me near the main park and guided us on a relaxed stroll along the impressive city walls, originally built by Arab pirates after they seized the city from the Byzantine Empire. Marina, who plans to begin her studies in archaeology, brought the cityβs layered past to life. She explained how Heraklion β once known as Candia β was shaped by a series of rulers: Venetians, Ottomans, Egyptians, and ultimately unified with Greece in 1913. With each chapter, the cityβs architecture and culture evolved, and Marina helped us understand how those changes are still visible today. We ended the tour with a light mezze lunch at a traditional taverna near the Venetian Port β the perfect way to reflect on what weβd seen. If youβre curious about Heraklionβs rich history and want a guide who truly loves the subject book Marina!β
