It was a pretty rainy day, but I just couldn’t put the trip on hold. I was in the middle of researching New Zealand’s history—something I’d been meaning to do for a while. Hanoz was with me the whole time. He’s super passionate, knows so much, and is genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve met. I am an old lady who needs to be taken care of. Somewhere along the way, I caught myself thinking: I really hope I get to travel with him again.★

Our driver Deane was super friendly and shared a lot of information with us during the car rides. He made sure that everyone felt comfortable and had a good time. We were on time and did not need to rush. The tour through Hobbiton was amazing- We were guided by Ellen. It was quite hot outside and not much shade- All of us were very tired on the way back home to Auckland. Definitely bring sun lotion!★

Such a great trip! Grant (or Grant but in a kiwi accent) was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the culture and history during the long van rides. Glowworm caves were cool but the highlight for me was definitely the geysers. The whole experience was great and am so grateful that they offer a trip like this including transport since Rotorua is quite a distance away.
Note: this experience did not include a Māori performance or haka. If I read the description better I wouldve known that but that is the only thing I was a little bummed about. The experience is great, but just note what is actually included if thats what you are looking for.
