Yangtze River Cableway
The Yangtze River Cableway is a unique aerial transportation tool in Chongqing, hailed as the "First Aerial Corridor of the Yangtze River." The cable car spans the two banks of the Yangtze River, with a one-way trip taking approximately 5 minutes, offering panoramic views of the Yuzhong Peninsula and Nan'an District. At night, the lights on both banks illuminate the city, their reflections on the river like stars, making it an excellent way to experience the city's multi-level transportation system and capture stunning nighttime scenery. Having served as a filming location for numerous movies and television series, it has become an iconic symbol of Chongqing. (Tickets must be purchased on-site.)
[Liziba Light Rail Passes Through Building]
The world's first example of a light rail system coexisting with a residential and commercial building. The light rail Line 2 train passes through the 6th to 8th floors of a residential building, creating a magical scene of "a train inside a building, and a building inside a train".
Ciqikou Ancient Town
This ancient town, founded in the Song Dynasty, was once an important river port on the Jialing River. The main street is paved with bluestone slabs, and stilted buildings and traditional shops are lined up on both sides. You can taste local snacks such as Chen Mahua (a type of fried dough twist) and Mao Xue Wang (a spicy blood curd dish) (at your own expense).
Bai Mansion
Zhazidong was originally a coal mine, which was later converted into a Kuomintang military intelligence detention center. It is the site of a prison where revolutionary martyrs were imprisoned from the War of Resistance against Japan to the Liberation period.
The Bai Mansion dates back to a villa during the Republic of China era, later becoming the headquarters of the Military Intelligence Bureau. The building has an elegant exterior but a strict interior, housing interrogation rooms, prison cells, and other facilities, and has imprisoned many prominent revolutionary figures.

One of Chongqing's ten cultural symbols, this classic building is modeled after the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in Beijing's Temple of Heaven. With its vermilion dome and green tiles, it is a magnificent architectural masterpiece of the 1950s, blending Chinese and Western styles. The best spot for photos is across the street at Three Gorges Square, where it appears even more solemn under the night lights, perfect for viewing from the outside and experiencing the historical atmosphere.
Three Gorges Museum
It stands opposite the Great Hall and is a comprehensive museum that integrates Bayu culture, Three Gorges civilization, and the history of the War of Resistance against Japan.
Hongyadong
Built on a cliff, the 11-story stilted building complex blends traditional Chongqing style with commercial formats. During the day, visitors can browse folk shops and sample local snacks. At night, when the lights are on, it resembles the bathhouse from "Spirited Away," making it a top landmark for nighttime photography.
